“Miss HK IEF 2010” Competition
11 candidates entered the Final 
 
1 December 2009Hong KongC Y Foundation Group Limited (SEHK: 1182) (“C Y Foundation” or the “Company”), Zoho D.I.Y. Muzik Factory, Msystem.com.hk Limited and E-Sport HK jointly host the 1st “Miss HK IEF 2010”. Yo-HK.com and Uonlive.com are the co-organizers. The competition was held in the Dragon-Centre shopping mall in the animation video entertainment center on 28 Nov 2009. A total of 11 candidates successfully reached the final. Each candidate exhibited strong passion and confidence for the 2009 IEF international Digital Entertainment Carnival.
 
The participants were required to complete four tests, including IEF knowledge quiz, talent show, E-sports tournament and best overall image. A panel of six judges ranging from e-sports specialists to up and coming singing talent rated the finalists on a scale of 1 to 10. The highest score out of the combined four events will be the Miss HK IEF.
 
After four tests and judgment by the panel, Ms. Easter Chau won the 1st “Miss HK IEF 2010” competition. She has shown her talent and good knowledge of IEF in all the tests. Ms. PiPi Chu and Ms. Mandy Lui was the 1st and 2nd runner up respectively. Ms. Lily Yau won the Talent Awards and Ms. Mandy Lui won the Modeling Awards.
 
Apart from receiving a grand cash prize, Ms. Easter Chau will also grant the honor of acting as spokesperson of 2010 IEF for Hong Kong and Msystem.com.hk Limited. Zoho D.I.Y. Muzik Factory and uonlive.com will offer an artist contract to the champion, who will have the chance to represent Hong Kong and attend the 2010 IEF Digital Entertainment Carnival.
 

 

As for the 2009 IEF Final, China and Hong Kong tournaments which were hosted by C Y Foundation. It was successfully kicked off on 30 th October 2009 to 1st November 2009 in Suwon, Korea. Over 1 million visitors were estimated to attend or participate in the three day e-sport event.

 

This year’s IEF Finals attracted top online game players from 17 countries and regions. Officiating guests at the grand opening ceremony in Suwon, included more than 20 members of Korea’s National Assembly as well as famous artists from China, Hong Kong and Korea.

 

About the IEF

The IEF (International E-sports Festival) is an annual world-class event for the international online gaming industry. IEF features the world’s most successful e-sport titles, including StarCraft, WarCraft and Counter Strike. The C Y Foundation also plans to enrich its newly established IEF platform by adding new products, services and non-stop daily tournaments. The 2009 IEF Finals have been held in Suwon, Korea from 30th October to 1st November 2009.
