2008 IEF Tournament HK Preliminary Trials Conclude with Success

Winners to Represent Hong Kong at Wuhan Grand Finals this December
(20 November 2008, Hong Kong) – The International E-sports/entertainment Festival (IEF) hosted by C Y Foundation Group Limited (SEHK: 1182) (“C Y Foundation” or the “Company”) has kicked off one of the industry’s most spectacular international online games tournament, in Hong Kong. Winners at the Hong Kong preliminary trials will go on to represent the SAR to battle for the top prize at the tournament finals in Wuhan, China.
The 2008 IEF Finals will be held from 5th to 7th December 2008 in Wuhan, China. This high profile online games event features popular RPG (role play games) as well as other common games. Top online game participants’ from China, Korea, Japan, France, Sweden, Ukraine, Singapore and Hong Kong will compete in front of an audience of 100,000 spectators for cash prizes of up to RMB 1 million.
The Hong Kong preliminary trials are jointly hosted by C Y Foundation and Msystem.com.hk Limited, the largest i-café chain operator in Hong Kong. The co-organiser is Lagfreeserver, a domestic e-contest organiser. After several rounds of exciting contests, the five member RS team, as well as Mr. Tony Wong won Counter Strike 1.6 and Warcraft III TFT respectively. They will now represent Hong Kong at the IEF Finals, competing against participants from other parts of the world.

The IEF is an annual world-class event for the international online gaming industry. The 2008 IEF Finals will be held from December 5th to 7th in Wuhan, China; the official website is www.e-ief.com. Currently, the IEF features the world’s most successful e-sport titles, including WarCraft, Starcraft and Counter Strike. This year, the C Y Foundation will expand the IEF event to include popular leisure games - Doudizhu (Fight the Landlord) and Texas Hold’em.
