China Youth Electronic Tournament (CYET) Holds Successful Doudizhu Final
 
Participants Vote “Yes” To More Tournaments
 
C Y Foundation, the interactive media entertainment company focused on providing quality entertainment across China, is pleased to announce that its Doudizhu (Kick Out the Landlord) Tournament in Wuxi was a great commercial success and will now expand to additional cities across China. 
 
The Tournament (named China Youth Electronic Tournament, or CYET)  launched on October 27, 2007 and proved hugely popular, with over 29,000 players signing up.  Using Chinese government approved software, CYET was launched in over 230 internet cafes in Wuxi. The game was played in knock-out style, whittling the 243 finalists to 81, then 27, then 9 and down to the final 3. 
 
243 finalists battled for five hours on Saturday, December 1, with the victor winning a brand new Citroen sports car. 
 
The second and third place runners up received 27,200 and 18,200 respectively.  The remaining top 18 runners up were rewarded with a computer or watch.
 
Early survey results conducted of the 243 finalists show a desire to participate in further CYET events.
 
During the Final, CY Foundation also held demonstrations of the poker game Texas Hold’Em and early test results show a positive player response to this game, which is easy to play, fast moving and exciting. The Group is preparing to launch Texas Hold’Em over the next few months. 
 
 
C Y Foundation will continue to roll out CYET events in a Six City Tournament to. Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Wuhan and Shanghai over the next few months. The Group expects to see an a huge increase in the growth of its player base as the brand expands across China.
 
The Six City Tournament will culminate with a 1 million rmb final Tournament in Shanghai at the end of April.
