C Y Foundation Launches China Youth Internet Fund and 
e-Classroom Program

(11 October 2007, Hong Kong) — As a major event within its “Green Internet Policy”, C Y Foundation today announces the launch of its “Digital Hongqiao” e-Classroom program and the joint establishment of the China Youth Internet Fund by the organizing committee of the China Youth Electronic Tournament and C Y Foundation.

The e-Classroom program involves the creation of an information network base and the digitalization of Hongqiao. To contribute to the program, China Youth Association for Network Development and the Information Industry Department of Hunan Province have jointly established the “C Y Foundation e-Classroom” education program.

Mr. Cheng Chee Tock Theodore, the President of CYFCC and the Chairman of C Y Foundation, donated RMB1 million to the Hunan Project Hope. The donation will be used to the set up 10 C Y Foundation e-Classrooms. The donation was accepted by Mr. He Renyu, head of the Information Industry Department of Hunan Province and Mr. Ouyang Jianmin, mayor of Xiangxiang, Hunan Province on behalf of the schools.

The development of the Internet industry is an important foundation for the development of internet education for young people across China. As a demonstration of their commitment to such, the organizing committee of the China Youth Electronic Tournament and C Y Foundation are jointly establishing the China Youth Internet Fund to invest in youth internet culture development and education.

Commenting on the e-Classroom program and internet fund, Mr. Cheng Chee Tock Theodore said:
"We are excited about supporting the educational development of the China Youth. e-Classrooms are the way of the future and will help accelerate learning all across China and increase computer and internet knowledge. Our newly formed internet fund will also be instrumental in advancing internet education."
